It seems like there’s a day for everything now, even things you never would have thought needed celebrating like National Beer Day (isn’t that every day?) and National Eggs Benedict Day. There is an upshot to all those “National Something Days,” though. Many national chains actually mark these quirky holidays with real freebies and deals. So if you know when and how, you can cash in, bigtime.
We rounded up some of the best offers for this spring, from food and coffee to small treats and perks. Who’s ready for a free-for-all?
March 3
IHOP’s National Pancake Day will officially return on Tuesday, March 3. From 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., participating restaurants will offer a free Short Stack of buttermilk pancakes for guests nationwide.
April 1
Tex-Mex chain Qdoba has a year-long promotion where Rewards members will receive free queso and chips with any create-your-own entree purchase on the full moon every month of 2026. May 1 and May 31 are also full moons, so mark your calendar!
April 3
In honor of National Burrito Day, Qdoba is offering a buy-one-get-one free deal to Rewards members: Purchase any entrée and drink (offer excludes quesadillas), and receive a free entrée.
April 4-5
Bank of America offers our cardholders free general admission to museums across the country on the first full weekend of every month. You can find a list of participating museums here.
April 5
It’s National Deep Dish Pizza Day, and you can bet that many of the big chains will offer buy-one-get-one deals.
April 26
For National Pretzel Day, Auntie Anne’s Rewards members can use their app to get a free Original or Cinnamon Sugar pretzel.
May 15
Celebrate National Slider Day at White Castle, which offers a free original slider with no purchase required!
May 16
Last year, Pizza Hut partnered with Partiful, maker of a popular party planning software, to celebrate National Pizza Party Day. Anyone who hosted a pizza party using the app was rewarded with a free order of cheese sticks.
May 25
Get free entry to any National Park this day. (If you miss it, don’t worry, there’s another one June 14.)
May 28
Last year, many burger chains, including Wendy’s, Burger King and Smashburger celebrated National Hamburger Day with some kind of deal, including free single-patty burgers, BOGO deals, or other discounts.
June 5
Chains including Dunkin’, Krispy Kreme and Duck Donuts honor the first Friday in June by giving away donuts, although you may need to make a purchase or be a rewards member to be eligible.
June 10
Last year, in honor of National Ballpoint Pen Day, TD Bank gave away free recycled pens in its branches.
